20–22 June 2025, Grigoriy Chshukin, Omar Asserbekov, and Marius Gruzauskas climbed the Cassin Route on the North Face of the Grandes Jorasses, becoming the first team of the season to climb the route. The Cassin Route offers 1200 vertical meters of sustained climbing on one of the biggest and coldest north faces in the Alps. While most parties wait until late summer for drier and easier conditions, the team chose an early season ascent with colder temperatures and harder mixed climbing, but reduced objective danger from rockfall.
