Era l’autunno del 2010, quando due giovani ragazzi poco più che ventenni si trovarono nella sede del Cai Lecco, per lasciarsi ispirare dai racconti dei ragni più vecchi di loro e lanciarsi in un grande progetto. Quel progetto si chiamava Torre Egger, una delle più belle guglie della Patagonia, sorella minore del più celebre Cerro Torre. La sua parete Ovest era ancora inviolata ed era la sfida perfetta che Matteo Bernasconi e Matteo Della Bordella stavano cercando. “The Egger project” racconta nel dettaglio tutte le peripezie di Bernasconi e Della Bordella, che hanno tentato per ben tre anni di fila di salire questa montagna. Sfida, fatica, snevante attesa, ma anche divertimento, amicizia e spirito di squadra sono alcuni degli ingredienti di questo documentario, nel quale per la prima volta si affaccia timidamente sulla grande scena alpinistica un altro ragno giovanissimo, Luca Schiera, protagonista di questa salita e di tante altre avventure negli anni a venire.
